TMK is a creative who produces & designs interactive artifacts in the realm of speculative interaction design & conceptual applied arts. They graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BFA in Visual Communication & a specialization in Digital Fabrication. They hold 6 years of production experience to create the union between making things look pretty & actually working. In addition, TMK has an independent studio practice, mixing theory & applied arts, for over a decade in which the process of understanding the Transpersonal is researched & experimented with by using Cognitive Estrangement, Pareidolia, Dematerialization, Active Imagination, Play, & Re-Enchantment.
This practice leads them to make interactive interdisciplinary methods in the realm of concept engineering that forms their foundation for their larger holistic design practice.
Their main mediums are: Visual Communication, Printmaking, New Media, Objects, Performance, & Sound. Their themes tend to deal with Ontology & Phenomenology with influences ranging from prehistory to contemporary: proto-writing systems i.e., cuneiform, Symbolism, Dadaist use of Anti-Art, Surrealist use of Anti-Logic, Happenings, Fluxus, Op Art, Process Art, Retro-Futurism, Bioart, Speculative Design, & Theory-Fiction to name a few. A periodization of their work would fall into four periods: the Gestation period (2016-2018), the UWM period (2019-2022), the DOMO PLUUME period (2023-2025), & the emergence of what comes after (2026+).
